CORONA & THE SUNDEVIL, a song which lasts about 76 minutes! The second CD of GHOSTS OF DAWN! A musical / medial trip
through the sheer lunatic human force of destruction – this may be political activity as well as the mutation of certain phenomena called love up to other emotional battlefields and the weakness towards the
power of nature. When Ghosts of Dawn started to work on the composition of Corona & the Sundevil in autumn 1991,
nobody –neither in the band nor in the environment- was aware of the kind of tracks the Sundevil trip would leave. And
that is why a main site is dedicated to Corona & the Sundevil on this homepage. Whenever it is performed, the song
Corona & the Sundevil seems to be equal at least to the group Ghosts of Dawn itself – and after the publication of the CD, it had almost destroyed the group. At the first night of performance, on May 27, 1992, at the "Lindenhof" of Bad Segeberg, approximately 700 visitors were bound by the sundevillish spell of a
bombastic sound, a glittering light show, fascinating videos on a large screen and a theatre like and effectful GHOSTS OF DAWN performance. CORONA & THE SUNDEVIL was recorded in summer 1992 and published on CD in winter 1992. All CDs of the small edition, once published by Transmusic Records, Wahlstedt, and then marketed worldwide by Peter Wustmann's WMMS, Music Is Intelligence, are
sold out meanwhile. Sometimes, one of these very rare items can be seen changing hands for 30 US $ or more at internet auctions – and it really is worth the price – and whoever enjoys either especially songs

Die 2. GHOSTS OF DAWN – CD ! Eine musikalisch / mediale Reise durch den Wahnwitz der
menschlichen Zerstörungskraft – sei es politisches Handeln oder das Mutieren von Phänomenen, die als Liebe bezeichnet werden, hin zu emotionalen Schlachtfeldern – und der Ohnmacht
gegenüber den Kräften der Natur ! Als GHOSTS OF DAWN im Herbst 1991 an der
Kompositionsarbeit zu CORONA & THE SUNDEVIL begonnen hatten, ist niemand – sowohl bei der Band, noch im Umfeld – bewußt gewesen, was die SUNDEVIL – Reise für Spuren hinterlassen würde.
Und deswegen ist CORONA & THE SUNDEVIL auf dieser Homepage eine Hauptsite gewidmet. Denn der Song CORONA & THE SUNDEVIL ist der Band GHOSTS OF DAWN dann mindestens ebenbürdig, wenn dieser
performed wird und er drohte fast, nach Veröffentlichung der CD, die Band zu sprengen.
Bei der Premiere am 27. Mai 1992 im Segeberger Lindenhof wurden die ca. 700 Besucher durch einen bombastischen Sound, eine gleissende Lichtshow, fesselnde Videos auf einer
Großbildleinwand und eine theatergleiche & effektvolle GHOSTS OF DAWN–Performance in den sonnenteuflischen Bann gezogen. Im Sommer 1992 ist CORONA & THE SUNDEVIL dann aufgenommen und im Winter 1992 auf CD gepresst worden.
Sämtliche CDs der kleinen Auflage, die bei Transmusic-Records, Wahlstedt veröffentlicht und später bei Peter Wustmanns WMMS, Music Is Intelligence, weltweit vertrieben wurde, sind vergriffen. Manchmal sieht man noch Exemplare, die für 30 oder mehr Dollar bei Internetauktionen ihren Besitzer wechseln – aber es lohnt sich
– jeder, der auf lange Songs oder Konzeptalbums steht und ein Original in den Händen hält, sollte sich bewußt sein, was er da besitzt. ...und vielleicht... ...eines wundersamen Tages... ...wird dieser Song nochmal live präsentiert... ...wer weiß... ...die, die es interessiert...
